Did Anyone Notice?

I took a few days off, like almost all of February.  And I'm not back yet, but I saw friend Janet Ivy had a couple of important posts on her blog, TABS on Texas.  One is about Texans who want to import their wine from out-of-state retailers.  The other deals with TABC liquor licensing problems that can arise when someone purchases an existing restaurant, especially if the buyer is not well represented in the purchase.

IT'S HERE!


No doubt you've all been waiting since last year for this event to come around again! 
It's THIS Sunday!
5th Annual Panther Pancake Breakfast
at Sevy's Grill, Sunday February 21st
9:00 am to Noon
$10 per ticket - 100%  of proceeds go to programs at Hillcrest High School (DISD)

Because of limited seating, we will not be able to take walk-ins, but we still have tickets available if you'd like to join this FUN, FUN, FUN community event.  Email me at AHillcrestMom@aol.com and we can talk.

Your ticket buys you a delicious breakfast of:  fresh fruit, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, juice and coffee, tea or milk.  Cooked by professionals, served by the HHS Cheerleaders, Panaders and Theater members.

Certainly you all recognize Sevy and the young Matt Sulentic in the photo above at PPB #1 in 2005, dressed in his waiter uniform for the event.

He received the Nickel & Nickel Fellowship for wine writing at the 2008 Symposium for Professional Wine Writers at Meadowood Napa Valley. He is a Certified Specialist in Wine and a Special Contributor to the Dallas Morning News and Sommelier Journal.
